Log in to Sila Capital
The Sila partnership marks the first time that the luxury brand of outdoor furniture is receiving capital. Co -founder and President of Business & Pleasure, Ollie Edvard, told me, “Business & Satisfaction has been bootstrapped from day one. So we took a slow and considered access to finding the right partner – talking with more than twenty investment firms before settling in Sila.”
Since its inception in 2016, Business & Pleasure has become one of the few brands of outdoor furniture that offer luxury pieces, from dining groups to pool chairs, with a vintage -inspired aesthetics. Displaying steel frames coated with carved edges, glowing cushions and tassel emphasis, these parts add a stylish touch, whether pool or on a stylish city roof.
“We have worked hard to redefine the Living Landscape of the Fresco of AL, creating parts that speak to everyone from the casual beach of the weekend, to the most distinct design firms of high -level hospitality. We have worked equally difficult to find the perfect partner for the next stage of growth of B&P, We look forward to working with Brian, Carter and the team.

Sila, who has funded some of the most fashionable and successful brands in living space – including composition from Mario, Vacation, Ilia, Boll & Branch, Casper and Summeralt – is just as excited, especially because this is the first time they are funding an external brand of furniture.
“Business & Satisfaction has redefined luxury in the outside, mixing a functionality raised design in a way that really resonates with today’s home enthusiast consumer,” said Brian Thorne, a partner in Sila Capital. “The team’s dedication to craftsmanship and design excellence – while always preserving the special brand identity – has divided them into a competitive, but unsafe market. We are excited to support Ollie and Lach in their next stage of growth, as they continue to expand their assortment and bring their aesthetics to the world.”
Business of Business and Satisfaction
A collaboration with Super Model Elsa Hosk made 2024 a year flag for the brand,
While Edvard told me that furniture is usually a strange category, he wants to make it more exciting. “We offer color and fun.”
However, there is also a level of sophistication in brand models that feels like an answer at another time, but current and perfect for social media. This is all part of the vision of the founders. “We develop products from the ground up, with a 100 percent custom design, including our IP, Pleasuretex fiction.”
Sold more as a brand of living than furniture, parts are available on the Business & Pleasure website, as well as through retail retailers, including anthropologist, revolve, Lulu & Georgia, Serena & Lily, Pottery Barn and West Elm.
While it has been largely a direct brand to the consumer so far, business and satisfaction have increased exponentially in the hospitality space, adding new properties every month, including four seasons, Belmond, Hotel Colony and Soho House. This infusion of money will allow them to supplement both residential and commercial orders, as well as funding other enterprises.
What is next for business and pleasure
While many omissions cannot be publicly shared, the brand plans to debut in a second collection with Hosk, as well as launch a new collection with influencer Julia Berolzheimer.
